Picture This;
Mise en scene;
The main character is initially seen wearing a white blouse, we do not see her lower half due to her being shot in a close up. This means she is not sexualised and the audience are expected to focus on her facial features and props rather than the rest of her body. The character is not showing any flesh which also adds to the theme of her not being a seual object.
During the corridor scene we see a group of popular girls who are essentially the opposite of the main character. The are wearing very revealing clothing to ensure that they are sexualised which appeals to the younger male target audience. They are also wearing colourful clothing which is very different to the white tha the main character is wearing. This shows that the main character is quite dull compared to her other peers.
The main setting that we see in this clip is a school corridor, we see this as we are following the main character, this setting is familiar to the target audience which in turn makes them feel more comfortable when watching the film, they als find the main characters experiences relateable.
In the first scene we see large golden gates automatically opening for an exspensive car, this gives the impression that the main character is living a luxureous high profile lifestyle.

Camera work;
The first shot that we see is an establishing shot that pans down from a clear blue sky, this creates a bit of mystery due to the audience being unable to see the setting.
During the scene where the SWAT team are in the street a lot of low angle shots are used when we see the SWAT team. This makes them seem imtimidating which results in the audience feeling slightly unsettled and confused.
When we first see the main character we see her through a close up of her face. This allowsthe audience to see her facial features in a more intimate way which results in a relationship beginning to form between the main character and the audience.

Editing;
The whole first scene is shot in black and white along with the first few second in the second scene, during the first scene it is used to add an uncomfortable and confused feeling due to the seperation between the two towns and the SWAT team being there. In the second scene it is used to make the transition more fluid between the two scenes.
During the first scene when we see the SWAT team it is shot in slow motion, again this is done to confuse the audience because they dont understand why the SWAT team is there.
Quick cuts are used during the corridor scene when we the popular girls, this is to show the fast and exciting lifestyle that they are living.
At the end of this clip we see a frosted screen with a silouette standed behind it. This was done using CGI, it alloweda sense of mystery to who the boy was that the main character had a crush on.

Soundtrack;
During the montage at the beginning of this clip the score is fast, upbeat and in major key, the only thing it did lack was lyrics. This was to allow the audience to focus primarily on the narrative rather than the score. The score changed during the high school scene, it is here that the score developed into a pop song with lyrics. This is to show the mood has changed aswell as the environment, this results in a change of the audiences mood.
Diegetic sound is used thoughout the whole clip, this is in forms of background chatter in the school scene, laughter in the montages and the plate smashing in the scene where the main character is at home. This makes the scenes more realistic and synchronous.
During the entire clip these is a narrative spoken by the main character, this is used to explain the characters life story and begin a relationship between the main character and the audience.
Typography;
The film title and the credits are all written in the same font style. It is done in a white, Capital and serif font, this shows that the film and the actors are equal. The use of an older fashioned font style shows the audience that this is a retro teen comedy.
