Costumes;
The characters in our film are all based on the stereotypes that you would see in a high school. We have 6 characters that we need to focus on in regards to costume these are; The jock, The cheerleader, The weird kid, The Geek, The goth and The new teacher.
The jock will be wearing either a football costume or a blue short sleeved t-shirt and black skinny jeans. The other group members will have a white shirt instead of the blue, this will make it obvious that he is the leader of the group and that he is more important than the rest of the group. The costume will be blue, this is because it is a colour that suits the stereotype of a guy that is into sports. His t-shirt will be tight around the arms, this is because we want to excentuate his muscles and make him seem strong and fit, this will help us get him as close to the stereotype of a jock as we can.
The cheerleader will be wearing highend, sophisticated yet sexualised clothing. We have decided that this character wil be wearing a black skirt and a natural nude coloured crop top. She will also be wearing a pair of converse trainers to make the whole outfit up to date, flawless makeup and bold statment jewelary. This will excentuate the fact that she is from a higher class and shows that the character really cares about her appearance which is typically seen in popular girls
The weird kids will be wearing very tatty, bold and strange clothing. We have decided that all five members of the group will be wearing different costumes that al follow the same strange theme. The main character will have really wacky hair in the style of high scruffy bunches. They will also be wearing patterned leggings with high rainbow coloured stripy socks, their shirt will be realted to food or t.v programmes as it adds to the fact that they are wierd and confident enough to wear unconventional clothing.
The Geeks will be wearing very similar clothing because we want them to appear quite nervous and shy, so by them wearing similar clothing none of them will really stand out. The only difference in clothing that there will be is different coloured shirts, they will all be neutral toned so their outfits are not bold but it will show that each character has their own personalities. All of the characters will be wearing a shirt, black trousers that are slightly too short, smart school shoes and glasses. All of these items are typically seen and stereotyped when people thinks of a geek so it will be obvious what group they are from.
The goths will be fitting their stereotype perfectly, they will all be wearing dark and deep colours such as black, dark red, dark blue and dark purple. They will all have a dark t-shirt on with dark jeans, some will have chains and badges on which will fit the stereotype of a gothic person. The main goth will have blue highlights in her hair, this will show that they are more important than the other members of her group.
Characters;
In our film there will be 5 main characters, the weird kid will be doing the narrative which will show the audience that they are the most important. Each character will have a group of 4 other people that fit their stereotype but the main focus will be on each 'leader' of the group.
The main character from the Popular girls group will be called Rachel, we chose this name because it suited the stereotype of a Popular girl. The name Rachel is typically associated with people from higher class finacially and socially so we thought this would really suit out character.
The main character from the jock group is called Josh Gallen, againg we really thought this name suited to personality and style of a jock, meaning it fitted the stereotype of the character really well. The name Josh is seen very often in popular sporty boys which is why we decided to use this name, also the name really suits the actor we have chosen to play this part.
The main character for the geek group will be called Fredrick Ohannigan, we chose this because we felt it fits the character and the actor really well. The fact that the character is called Fredrick shows that he is a bit more traditional than people from the other groups due to his name not being shortened to Fred or Freddie.
Props;
The jock will be carrying around a football whenever he is on screen, this presents to the audience that he is dedicated more to sports rather than his education which is typical of a jock in teen comedy films.
The popular girl will have an exspensive handbag when she is on screen, this will portray that she is of higher class and that other girls in a school setting aspire to be like her. In teen comedies popular girls tend to own exspensive items and act as an icon for other girls so by doing this we are fitting the stereotypes of a popular girl in a teen comedy.
The geeks props will be a backpack which is too high on their backs and a pile of books each, these are objects that are typically associated with geeks so it will make there characters really stand out.
The only other prop that we will be using is a school bell, this will go off at the beginning of the clip to show that the film is set in a school.
Setting;
There will be four main settings used throughout our project, these are; a classroom, a school hallway, a school field and the enterance to a school. We have chosen these settings because they fit the stereotypes of a teen comdey really well. Our film is set completely in a school so the best place for us to film is in a school as we have access to all of these areas.
We chose the enterance to the school for part of our ilm because it is a suitable place for all of the students to flood out from, it will also allow us to get a good angle and shot of this happening. We chose the classrooms and hallways because they will allow the audience to understand where each scene is and keep up with the stereotypes of each character.

My group and I decided that I would take responsibility for the treatment due to my ability to expalin why we had chosen each element that we will be using during our shooting process. This treatment consists of the mise en scene that will be apparent in our clip, I have explained each setting, costume and prop in detail and also gave our reasons for chosing them.
