Bratz:
Mise en scene;
The costumes that the characters are wearing in this shot are their pyjamas, this is because they are waking up to get ready for school. Although they have just woken up they all look what would be seen as perfect, this has been done because the producers want these girls to be seen as beautiful all the time.
Clothes are the main focus in this clip, the whole 2 minutes is about them deciding what they are going to be wearing to make an impact on their first day of high school, this is very relateable to the younger female teenagers that this film is targeted at.
This whole clip is set in the bedrooms of each character, this is done by the characters video chatting each other whilst they get ready so we are able to clearly see all of their rooms.
The whole clip is in high key lighting, this is so the mood is very upbeat and exciting just like the girls.
Camera work;
The first shot we see is an esablishing shot of above the houses that slowly zooms into the main characters house, this provides a smooth transition into the main scene and lets the audience know where they are.
The main shot used when focusing on the girls getting out of bed and getting ready is a long shot, this allows us to see what the characters look like and what they are wearing, thus allowing us to begin to form a relationship with each character. The only exception to this is that the first character we see (Yasmine) is seen through a close up shot, this shows us that she is more important than the other characters. There is also a close up of the alarm clock just before it rings, by doing this we are able to see what type of person the character is because of its colour.
Sound;
The initial score is quite a soft melody, it changes to a fast paced, upbeat pop song just after the alarm bell rings, this has been done to portray the excitement of the characters for their first day of high school, which the audience watching can relate to.
The words of the song are about summer being over, and having to go back to school and behave which is relateable for the audience. The way the song is composed makes it seem more fun which excites the audience.
There is digetic sound of the alarm bell ringing in the form of foley, this sound starts off all of the action in the scene and again gets the audience excited because they can relate to what the characters are doing.
Editing;
A lot of CGI is used in this clip, mainly when the characters are video chatting each other. We see this when the screen is set up like a computer, this makes it seem like we are looking at the characters through a computer screen ourselves.
There are a lot of quick cuts inbetween the shots of the characters picking out their outfits for the day, this portrays the characters excitement.
There is also a large about of cross cutting when the girls are getting ready, this is done to show how in sync all of the characters are.
Graphics;
The typography in this clip are very pink and girly which relates to the theme of the film itself. The less important words are placed over the rolling shots because they need less attention paid to them, but the important characters names or words are placed over a black background which makes them stand out a lot more.
The title of the film is in a different font style to all of the other words, and is place over the intial establishing shot to show its importance.

Representation;
The main representation issue shown in this clip is friendships, we see this when the first thing the characters do when they wake up is video chat each other about what they will be wearing.
