After the ball;
The main character is dressed in a burgundy Coat, white top and black trousers. She has blonde hair that is tied up in a bun, this shows the audience that she is fashionable, youthful and busy due to her having her hair up.
The words After and The are all sans serif,uppercase and white. This indicates that whatever happens after the ball is bad. The use of white lettering still shows adds to the elegant feel of the title.
The word ball is portrayed in a different way to the rest of the text in the title. It is in a serif font, it is a light blue colour and it takes up more space than the other words. The blue colour indicates elegance and youth, and the excentuated serif font shows sophistication.
An over the shoulder shot is used whilst the main character is fixing another characters outfit. This shows that there is a relationship between the 2 characters and it allows us to still see the main character in the shot, thus allowing the audience to begin to form a relationship with her.
A two shot is used when the main character is talking to another character. The character in the white shirt is shown more in this shot which shows that shes is of high importance and significance in the film.
The first shot we see in the clip is an establishing shot of a city. This shows the audience that the film is set in an urban location which implies a busy and loud environment.
During the cat walk scene flashing lights occur between each shot in the form of camera lights. This is done to add an abrupt yet fluid transition between each shot and gives a more realistic feel to the scene.
CGI is used in the first 20 seconds as the camera freezes on different locations and people around the city. Once the camera had frozen, a sketch was traced over the image. This shows that that the main character is quite young, this is because tracing over images is something that is stereotypically associated with teenagers or young adults. This results in the clip being more relatable to the target audience.
Soundtrack;
The whole score is in a major key , which indicates hapiness and excitement.
Throughout the whole clip we hear a lot of diegetic sound in the forms of cars, talking and running. This makes the whole thing more realistic and makes the main characters busy life style more believeable.
Foley is used during the catwalk scene in the form of camera clicks and the audience clapping, this makes the scene more realsitic.
