Love Wrecked;

Mise en scene;

The main character is portrayed as very feminine, we see this through the use of her costume. She is wearing a pink top that shows off a bit of her stomach, white trousers and has blonde hair. The use of pink and white colours connote the youth and niavity of the character which is quite relateable for the younger target audience of the film.

The band memebers in this film are all males that are in their early 20s, the act as a sexual object for their female audience. Their costumes consist of unbuttoned shirts, shaggy blonde hair and shorts. This is to portray them as highly sexualised, fashionable and a role model for their audience, this is relateable for the target audience of the film due to music artists being desirable for teenagers of this generation.

During the montage at the beginning of the clip there is a is large use of props, these include pens, calenders, pictures and CDs. This is done to emphasise the obsession that the main character has over the music artist and gives the audience an idea of what the film is going to be about.

Camera work;

During the montage at the beginning of the clip there are a lot of quick pans, this is to replace cuts with a smoother more exciting transition. This gives the audience the sense of excitement that the main character is feeling.

We first see the main character through a long shot which then zooms into her into a mid shot, this allows us to see the characters outfit and the rest of the setting surrounding the main character.

We also see an establishing shot of the concert after the montage. This allows the audience to see the setting, and also understand what the montage was about.

Editing;

During the concert scene we see a lot of quick cuts, this is done to create the feeling of excitement and high energy which results in the audience feeling excited.

During the montage the camera zooms in on things of high importance such as the main character, a calender and the main characters pictures of her crush/ role model. By doing this it shows the audience that these things are of high significance during the film.

As a transition between the montage and the first scene, the camera zooms into a black and white male face that was included in the montage. The transition is from the black in the image to the black of the sky in the concert. By doing this the transition is a lot more fluid between the two scenes which makes it less abrupt for the audience.

Soundtrack;

The score plays over the entirety of this clip until it merges into the song that the bandis playing during the concert. The score is upbeat, fast paced and in a major key, this music is relateable to the younger target audience due to it being so exciting and youthful.

We hear quite a lot of diegetic sound during the concert scene, this is in the form of foley. Examples of this would be the screaming and the clapping from the audience, the reason this sound is added is to make the scene more synchronous.

Typography;

The film title is written in a serif, lower case font style. The colouring is a dark pink with a white boarder which makes it stand out a bit more. The film title is positioned on an angle whereas the general credits are positioned on a straight line, this shows that the films identity is more important that the participants identities.

The general credits are in a a range of colours from pinks to purples to browns, the thing that they all have in common is that they are all in uppercase, sans serif fonts with a thick white underline underneath each letter to give a 3D effect. This is done to show the youthfulness of the main character.
