Casting Profile:

Accurate casting is essential in our music video, we needed to find 2 people that demonstrated chemistry on camera and were willing to partake in intimate scenes. Due to experiences that my self and Abbie had last year, as a group we decided to be very particular with who we casted as we needed people that would stay for the duration of the whole filming process. As a group we chose some specific characteristics that we wanted each of our characters to obtain, this allowed us to create a small group of people who we would have liked to be part of our music video. After a lot of discussion we decided to cast Abbie Whiting and Ryan Boyd.

Ryan Boyd:

This is Ryan, as you can see he fits the profile of our wanted male character. We decided we wanted our male to have brown hair and a light complexion, Ryan fits these characteristics perfectly. Ryan and Abbie had a lot of chemistry on camera, which was essential due to the things we were planning  on filming. Unfortuanatly Ryan was unable to continue filming with us due to him having other commitments, we decided to find another boy that looked like Ryan in order to keep the physical chemistry the same.

Abbie Whiting:

This is our main female character, Abbie. We decided that we wanted a petite girl in order to make the character appear more vulnerable. We also wanted them to have natural beauty which Abbie has. Abbie is a perfect actor to play the main female character in our music video because she is also a member of our group, this means she is really dedicated when it comes to making our music video a success and she is able to understand what we all want her to do. This makes the filming process a lot easier and more successful because there is a lot less time spent trying to explain to the actors what we want them to do. Abbie is able to switch her personality really well whilst on camera, this is very useful due to the character she is playing constantly changing her mind about how she feels.

Matthew Addis:

Matthew is our replacement for Ryan, as you can see they both have very facial structures and features. Matthew and Abbie's chemistry is also very strong due to them already being close friends, this makes the intimate scenes a lot easier to film because both of them are able to do exactly what we ask them. Matthew is very keen in front of the camera and is able to easily do what we ask him and adapt his personality at the time to suit the personality of the main male character that he is playing. Matthew struggled slightly at the beginning due to being quite a sheltered person, we were asking him to be slightly more aggressive in some cases, this is something he found really difficult. But he is a very quick learner and was able to deal with this very easily.

Performance/ Band Memebers:

Reece Peers Holland: Base Player

Reece is our base player in the performance aspect of our music video, he was going to be the drummer as this is an instrument he is used to playing. Due to an unexpected change in casting, Reece had to take on the role of the base player. This is something he managed to do really well, and luckily he excelled at lip syncing which allowed us to obtain crisp clean shots of him. Reece's style in general is very indie which allowed him to feel comfortable throughout the filming process, his look fitted in with the aesthetic that we were hoping for.

Luke Ball: Lead Singer/ Acoustic Guitar

Luke is our lead singer in our band, he has aspirations to be in a band one day so he took the whole filming process very seriously. Luke's aesthetic is very similar to Reece's in the sense that he naturally follows the indie style, this made the costume decisions far easier. Luke is a very talented guitar player, this enabled him to actually play the tune of the song so the shots of the guitar are synchronous with the soundtrack.

Tom Daniels: Drummer

Tom is a member of our media group, due to an unforseen drop out of the day of filming Tom kindly stepped in to play the part of our drummer. This did cause some slight problems as Tom does not fit the look that we were initially going for. Tom did manage to make up for this through non verbal communication and exaggerated body movements. Although this was something that Tom was not entirely comfortable with doing, he did a really good job and we are very proud of him!
